Even Dallas Center Elementary school celebrated Chinese New year

Dallas Center ElementaryDallas Center Elementary hosted six performers from China who performed for the school on Feb. 7. The visitors were here to help celebrate the Chinese New Year. This holiday is based upon the lunar calendar and lasts for 15 days. This year is the year of the rabbit. The performers played the guzheng, which we would refer to as a Chinese harp. One of the performers also danced the traditional fan dance.
