Sunday Activities

Lazy Sunday morning. All 3 boys watching SpongeBob. Notice AJ wrapped up in his booey.

Coco gains another fan. Nathan wraps her up in his beloved bluey for a nap.

AJ drew this with the color wonder marker set today. Its a bird.

Awww.

Notice when Nate kisses Coco... so cute. Then Coco rips one and Nathan thinks he burped.

I'm STUCK!

I'm not at all sure what this non-sense is about. Not only does Nathan get "stuck" and then "pulls" to fix it, he has now incorporated "rope" into the scenario.

Well Shit.

I was GOING to post this.. then Grandma went and complained. Now it seems like I'm posting just bc she said something. Anyways (eyes rolling):

Here are the airport pick up pix.
Nathan was playing around before the flight came in. We told him his brothers were coming home, but I don't think he really understood.

AJ, Aunt Wes, and Oz arrive.

Nathan was stunned for a little while.. but then was so happy.. He grabbed AJ!

And so happy to see Ozzy, too!

Nathan wasn't quite sure what to make of Aunt Wes at first. He focused on his brothers- who had gone ape-shit bonkers and hyper. This was awesome entertainment for Nate who just kept cackling in delight.

Today we went to the zoo. It was HOTT! The boys played on the playground for a while.

Then we decided to go look at the manatees.. it's AIR CONDITIONED in there!

This is just a tree statue. Not sure why, but the boys wanted a pic with them in it.

Then it was off to Sting Ray Bay.

After all the zoo non-sense, we picked up McD's for lunch then spent most of the rest of today in the pool. AAaaaaahhhh!

Aunt Weswee's visit

No pictures of Aunt Weswee and the boys?

A Few Things...

First, I hope nobody minds, but I widened the blog just a bit. I thought it might help with the fact that it is so freaking difficult to get the layout right when you post multiple pictures. If this messes up someone's viewing experience, let me know, because it's really easy to put it back the way it was.

Also, Blogger (Google) has some limitations. I am toying with the idea of "migrating" the entire blog to a new place...there are several alternatives...Wordpress, Typepad, etc. Some of those places have more features and certainly more intuitive controls. Nothing would need to change, except we would need to "re-sign-up" for a new service. I will not make any sort of changes soon, but it is something I am thinking about...

Oh, and before you get scared, no, we wouldn't lose any of the old posts.

Suggestions/Comments?

P.S. Do you realize we've accumulated 501 posts now?

My Summer 2009 Pics

Okay, so here are some of the shots I took on Sunday...

At first the boys had absolutely no interest in having their picture taken. Here is Austin hiding beneath the blanket. I had to trick him by telling him I wasn't actually taking a picture. I think he forgave me for my deception though.

A.J. was cooperative, but would do nothing but scrunch his face and close his eyes as you can see.

I don't know how many trips there were to the dollar store, but by Sunday, the boys were the most heavily armed kids in the neighborhood.

Here, Austin convinced A.J. that there was a bird's nest up in the tree in front of Grandma and Grandpa's house. I don't know if A.J. wanted to shoot at it, or defend it from Austin...

Finally, I hadn't flexed my photoshop muscles in awhile, so I took some of the better pics and spiced them up a bit. See what you think...

Dave Wins a Race! (sort of)

Here's Dave.. he ran a 5k today!! For you dumbbells, it's just over 3 miles (I Googled it).

Here's me and the kid with Dave. We woke up at 6:30am on a Sunday for this. Is there a prize for that?

Ok, time to get serious!

The competition. Don't bother to blow this up and look for Dave. He's all the way in the back.

About halfway and still smiling.

This is an AMAZING finish time! Too bad for Dave that this wasn't HIS finish time . The actual winner was a kid that finished in 17 min 1 sec (then said kid fell over and started throwing up all over- gross).

Dave... at the finish line, sort of.

Ok, here's the video of the big finish. Dave's in a blue shirt and white shorts. He finished in a respectable 29 minutes 46 seconds.

And now you're all asking, well HOW did he 'sort of' win this race? Well, he won because he's special... ok?
