From the Nate-O Files

Some funny things Nathan has said over the past couple of days:

Last night, when I told Nate to close his eyes and go to sleep: "I can't close my eyes. My eyes are bended."

This morning, he was in the back yard with me while I was putting down mulch - I noticed the gate was open, which meant he was wandering around out front. When I came around the house, he saw me and said "I don't have a problem, Daddy."

So it's not all roses...

Nate had a hard time without his nukkie last night. There was quite a bit of crying and he aid "but my MOUTH is COLD!" (when he wants his booey, he sometimes says he's cold)... sigh. Poor kid.

Bedtime

While grandpa was reading stories tonight, AJ informed him that when he grows up he wants to marry a bird. Be prepared

Poo on the Naysayers!!

Nathan did FANTASTIC without his nukkie last night. He didn't cry for it at all, woke up once about something else, and went right back to sleep. Slept until 8am this morning and woke up cheery!

phhhhhht! :P

Aj's worried

Aj suggests that you don't let Nathan read the blog, cause they want his present to be a surprise. Ha Ha

ToysRUs too

I forgot...they also chose the Fisher Price Color Flash Laptop for Nathan and got two monstrous boxes of crayolas for school....96 count...buy one, get one free.

ToysRUs Day

After taking all the coins in to be counted, they each had $40.00 to spend at ToysRUs...Austin chose several smaller Lego sets, AJ chose the Darth Vadar Tie Fighter and another small one. Grandma kicked in for the Lego movie and a pool toy.

Is This The END??

We're trying to get rid of the nukkie. I told Nathan that he's such a big boy now and that only babies have nukkies. I told him that his new baby cousin Syler needs them. We got an envelope, put Syler's name on it, put the nukkies in and put it in the mailbox. Fingers crossed that this works!

Nathan's Hiding Spot

He was sleeping under there..

Getting Ready for Grandma's House

Although Austin and AJ aren't leaving with Grandma until Friday, they thought it was important to start preparing for the visit today (kind of like Grandma does a week before she goes somewhere.) AJ started using Mom's old iPod this weekend and figured out that it played movies, so he asked me to download "Surf's Up" off of iTunes so he could watch it on the plane. When I told him it cost $9.99, he went and convinced Austin to pony up half of the money for the movie, so "Surf's Up" is now on the iPod. Then, Austin found the headphone splitter, so now they can both watch and listen to the movie.

As you can see, Austin also started packing for the trip - here's his backpack.

Austin's Peanut Incident

Here are some pictures taken after Austin had his latest peanut incident. Nina took Austin to the emergency room, but everything turned out OK. Or, at least we thought. When Nina discussed the incident with the nurse in Arkansas, Nina got chewed out for not administering the Epipen. Today, we found out from Austin's doctor that the hemorraging in his throat was probably due to anaphylaxis (and not strep, as the stupid emergency room doctor thought.)

It's times like this that remind us that Austin isn't completely out of the woods, and that his allergy still requires our attention.

Uncle Mike Visit!

Uncle Mike got a chance to come down to Tampa for the weekend - it was a very nice visit.

Pics from Orlando

About a month ago, we went to the Orlando World Center Marriot and caught up with some cousins. Here are a few pics!

All of the cousins!

They had an glass elevator that went all the way to the 22nd floor of the hotel.

The breakfast buffet was great, but everyone seemed happy with cereal and bread.

Dinner on the bed!
