Some artwork from Sunday:

Chicken Pox?

I noticed Nate getting spotty this morning. I don't know what this is... chicken pox? I'm taking him to the doctor tomorrow (Wed) morning.

BTW, chicken pox have a 14 to 16 day incubation period. I'm not pointing fingers or anything, but 15 days ago happens to be the one day that Nathan went to school. hmmmm.

The spots didn't show up really well, but you get the idea:

August RAST Results.

The peanut RAST bloodwork Austin submitted in August finally came back. Here's the full history (lower is better; 2 or less is considered 'not allergic')

  • 9/2006 Score of 79
  • 1/2008 Score of 27.6
  • 6/2008 Score of 12
  • 11/2008 Score of 11.3 (this is when he went to actual peanut m&ms)
  • 6/2009 Score of 8.37
  • 8/2009 5.43

Austin's August hazelnuts were at 10.8. What does it all mean? Beats me!! It's a better peanut number, which is at least not bad news.

Nate is a Pumpkin

Nate kept saying he wanted to be a pumpkin. I couldn't find a costume in his size, so I bought a big orange shirt and a jack-o iron on. I stuffed it with Booeys and tied it with a hair clip.

This was just a test run. It'll be more evenly stuffed for the big day!
Hey Nate! What's that on your back???
(He's got his head through the handle of the trick or treat bag. I sure hope this doesn't kill him).

Storybook Parade

Schools don't celebrate "Halloween" anymore, but they DO dress up on Oct 30th in costumes and do a Storybook Parade. Coincidence? Regardless, I think it's a great way to keep Satan from our children.

Creaky Bones Race

The 2 big boys and Dad ran a race today. It was called Creaky Bones and raised money for arthritis. Here they are getting ready.

Not Interesting

The only reason this pic is posted is bc I thought it was cool that the guy cutting our tree is none other than Mark Whiten... previously of the St. Louis Cards and now our neighbor.

Ant Bites

Look how sad! Nate got bitten on his feet by (I believe) ants. Three bites on the back of his ankle, 3 on his opposite foot's toe. :(

THANKS Grandma and Papa!

Nate's Ladybug

Park on Sunday

This went on for 2 hours. Climb up, slide down, climb up... TWO HOURS.

Went to Chuck's

The big boys got new Star Wars shirts. Cool, huh? Here, Nathan is wearing the shirt Austin wore on the first ever Arkansas visit.

We brought Ben along...

Making Himself at Home

This NEVER Ends Well

The boys have taken to doing "science", which is basically mixing water with soy sauce, dishwashing soap and ketchup and pouring it from container to container.

Took Nate to the Zoo Last Week

Nate's favorite thing at the zoo is the stingray touch tank.

Austin's Addendum to his Xmas List

Much to our dismay, Austin has said that he prefers Hot Wheels now over Legos. It's totally heartbreaking- much like when AJ decided the whole Thomas thing was much ado about nothing.
