Busch Gardens

We went to BG again this weekend. They've got a Lorikeet house, too! The red bird on AJ's head jumped down and bit AJ on the finger. Bastard!
The boys really had a great time. The weather was nice and cool and the park was pretty empty. I'd say this is probably the first time all the boys liked the rides. Austin actually went on the Congo River Rapids ride with me! (AJ went too, but cried the entire time).

If you're wondering why they're soaking wet, watch the video below.

This is a roller coaster called Sheikra. It's slows down by going through the water.

AJ's Duck

AJ made this duck out of Play Doh. He said, "I'm a great duck artist!!"

Thriller!!

For the first time ever, the boys watch Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. They really liked it. I also showed them the 'Billie Jean' performance with the Moon Walk and they were actually trying to figure out how to do it!

Poor Baby...

Not feeling great, Nate falls asleep on the couch.

Nate's Photoshoot

Last night when Nate was supposed to be going to sleep, he got hold of my digital camera. There were SEVENTY-ONE pix on there. Try to guess what some of these things are:

Insult to Injury

Along with Nate's itchy viral rash (which is NOT chicken pox), he also got bitten twice on his foot by ants!

Trick or Treat!!

Nate declined our offer to go in costume. He had just woken up from a nap and was in no mood to be photgraphed at first. When he realized candy was being handed out, he perked up and agreed to Trick or Treat.

Park on Saturday

Our Neighbors Bought a New Stove!!!

Which, of course, means we get a new box!!

Some artwork from Sunday:

Chicken Pox?

I noticed Nate getting spotty this morning. I don't know what this is... chicken pox? I'm taking him to the doctor tomorrow (Wed) morning.

BTW, chicken pox have a 14 to 16 day incubation period. I'm not pointing fingers or anything, but 15 days ago happens to be the one day that Nathan went to school. hmmmm.

The spots didn't show up really well, but you get the idea:

August RAST Results.

The peanut RAST bloodwork Austin submitted in August finally came back. Here's the full history (lower is better; 2 or less is considered 'not allergic')

  • 9/2006 Score of 79
  • 1/2008 Score of 27.6
  • 6/2008 Score of 12
  • 11/2008 Score of 11.3 (this is when he went to actual peanut m&ms)
  • 6/2009 Score of 8.37
  • 8/2009 5.43

Austin's August hazelnuts were at 10.8. What does it all mean? Beats me!! It's a better peanut number, which is at least not bad news.
