Hey Nina - Thanks for the Money!

Just thought I'd let you (and Mom) know that I went to the State of Missouri website, found that I was owed money by the state, made a few clicks and submitted my request.  About a week later I got a $40 check in the mail from the state treasurer.  It's all thanks to you!  I am now rich beyond my wildest dreams.  Okay, that's not true, but I have enough money now for a very nice dinner at Outback and I promise I will think of you momentarily from time to time whilst I devour my cheesy Aussie Fries.

Finally...the Cake.

Austin was very patient with us as we delayed his cake-eating by a day, and then once he'd finished dinner he had to sit and wait for us adults to eat.  But it finally arrived and all was well.

Nate was pulling out his paint set...

and he said "Grandma is the bestest girl I ever seen"

Lie Detectors

As some of you might remember, I took a lie detector test with the government in 1998 and they falsely accused me of lying about my past drug use...

Flash forward to today: So AJ was looking at this 'lie detector' online.. a toy. He was all excited and said he wanted it buy it.

Me: "you know, even REAL lie detectors don't work... it' didn't work on me"
AJ: (big grin) "WOW!! You got AWAY with it??"
