AJ's class today

Nathan and I got to AJ's class a little early today. The kids were out doing parachute play. AJ invited Nathan into the group and he had a great time!

Another Zoo Day

Dave's out of town this week and AJ had the day off from school. I figured I should take Nate and AJ to the zoo to get some "fresh" air.

There were a gazillion people at the Lorikeet house, so we tried feeding the parakeets instead. Well, we bought a food thing and not even one stinking bird came to eat! AJ was very disappointed.

After, we went to the play area and there was basically no one else around. AJ and Nate FROLICKED.. and I mean that literally. It was so cute watching them chase each other and play on the slide.

I did a couple videos, but I'm stupid and held the camera sideways.. and now I don't know how to make them upright. sorry!

Mall Day

Park Day

The weather was awesome, so we went to the park after we had ice cream. What a bunch of monkeys.

We took the boys for Ice Cream! They had a sprinkle dispenser and they could add as much as they wanted. Check out AJ's cone! And that after ever bite, he added more.

I think this is adorable. When Nathan's looking for something, he walks around saying "Milk/Nukkie/Booey, where ARE you?" It's hard to catch on camera bc he's usually hunting.

Austin's Yearbook

Austin's school is allowing for dedications. For $5 you can buy 4 lines of 35 characters per line. If you go over (5 - 8 lines) it's $10.

If you're interested, email me the dedication and I'll submit it for printing. Requests are due back by Feb 13th.

Febuary Status

1. Nathan learned how to climb out of his crib yesterday. Now he can climb IN and OUT. We took the crib away and left him with just the mattress as we'd rather he not break his freaking neck. This 2009 has been fast moving. No more baby bottles and no more crib. Holy.

2. Austin hurt his knee yesterday kicking the soccer ball around with Dave. He was crawling around all morning and whining that it hurt.. to the point that I actually took him to the doctor. Of course, as we were waiting in the waiting room, Austin was miraculously cured. I told the doc that his powers for healing were amazing... reaching all the way across the building and into the waiting room. Anyways, by the time that whole ordeal was over, he'd already missed school.

3. AJ and Austin have been doing Hooked on Phonics (learn to read program). Obviously Austin's ahead, but AJ's working on spelling his name (Allan...not AJ) and letter recognition and sounds. He's actually picking it up pretty quickly.

4. Austin seems to be doing better in school. I say this cautiously, as this can turn on a dime. So far in January his behavior has been much better- only getting in trouble twice. I'm hoping we can keep the momentum going.

That's all I can think of that's been going on around here. What's going on with y'all?

Super Bowl Sunday conversation.

Well it's Super Bowl Sunday. It's the Arizona Cardinals vs. the Pitts Steelers. This morning I said, "GUESS WHAT!! It's Super Bowl Sunday! Who do you guys think will win?"

AJ: "I think the bird team is gonna win!"
Austin: "NO WAY! The birds are gonna LOSE!!"
Me: "Austin, if the birds lose, who's gonna win?"
Austin: "The ROBBERS!"

We went to the park today.

I can't believe how big and able Nathan is. He loves the slide (calls it a 'shide') and hanging from things (see the dammit bar pic in the earlier post). He thinks and acts as physically able as his brothers.. it's unnerving for us grown-ups, but he seems pretty competent at the park!!
