Hey, thought I'd make my debut on this blog. Finally, a forum in which I can espouse my radical right-wing agenda! When is someone going to have the courage to say "Screw poor people!" You know who I hate? Environmentalists, that's who! And don't get me started on the illegal immigrants!
When I'm not working myself up into a reactionary frenzy, maybe I'll post some news and some pictures of the boys...
We got back from Miami today - the boys had a great time playing with Johnny and Emily (David's kids.) We went to a Christmas party with most of the 30 grandchildren in attendance, and the boys still aren't used to all of the commotion. At one particularly loud point during the party, Austin was trying to talk to me, and he stopped in mid-sentence and said, "Can you tell all of these people to be quiet?"
Now, we're back at the condo. We have two - count 'em - two showings for the house tomorrow, and one "preview", which means the agent is going to stop by without the buyers. Fingers crossed! I'll be heading back to Tampa on Tuesday, and Nina and the boys will probably come to Tampa next weekend.
One other funny note - last night, on the local weather report in Miami, the weatherman spoke very earnestly about the cold wave coming next week. The 7-day forecast was shown on the screen, and the graphic next to Wednesday's hi/low temperature was a thermometer with icicles hanging off of it - it's supposed to get all the way down to 48 degrees, and the high is only supposed to be 68! Hopefully everyone down there remembers to pack blankets in the trunks of their cars in case they get stranded.
